At the away game on March 6, the girls’ lacrosse team lost by two points, 13-15, to Lake Highland.  Throughout the second half it was back and forth, seeming as if it could be anyone’s game.

The game started with Lake Highland scoring the first two goals of the night.  Senior Brennah Mehan , sophomore Dora Muratovic and junior Jessica Kneeland scored the first three goals respectively.  Junior Kiernan Mehan scored the final goal for the first half, 7-9, with Lake Highland in the lead.

In the second half, the Lady Braves defended their goal.  Muratovic scored two goals in a row for the team in the beginning of the second half.  B. Mehan snuck the ball past the goalie for the team’s 10th point and K. Mehan followed with another goal.  Kneeland shot the ball into the net and K. Mehan scored the final goal for the Lady Braves.

As the game continued the team tried to catch up, but Lake Highland would score another goal and put them farther behind.  The game continued like this for the rest of the game and left the people in the stands at the edge of their seats, but ended with a Lake Highland win, 13-15.

The team will play away again on March 11 against Lyman High School at 7:30 p.m.
