On March 14, the girls’ water polo defeated Timber Creek 11-2, making their record 11-3.
In the first quarter, Timber Creek scored the first goal of the night. After a few minutes, junior Eleanor Clark scored two goals in a row, making the score 2-1 at the end of the quarter.
The second quarter began with sophomore Mackenzie Mock and junior Julia Hester both scoring a goal. Immediately after, Timber Creek scored a goal, but Clark followed with another goal. At the end of the quarter, the girls were ahead 5-2.
Starting the third quarter, senior Nichole Clayton scored three goals back-to-back. With the third quarter coming to an end the girls still had the lead 8-2.
In the fourth quarter, junior Jenna Layton had saves and sophomore Gillian Jijon scored her first goal. Clark and Hester scored a goal each, making the final score 11-2.
The girls will play away at Winter Park on March 16, at 10 a.m.
