Within the first 20 seconds of the lacrosse game at Winter Park High School, junior Bradley Connely, number 33, scored the first point of the game.
Moments later, the Wildcats scored their first goal of the night, but the tied score didn’t last long. Senior Joseph Onderick scored two back-to-back goals, followed by another goal for Connely ending the first quarter 4-1. Connely scored the first point of the second quarter, followed by a goal from Winter Park’s number 15, bringing the score to 5-2. With five minutes left in the second quarter, number 3, Kyle Irwin scored another point for the Braves. By halftime, the boys were still leading 7-4.
Just 26 seconds into the third quarter, junior Kevin Irwin scored, quickly followed by another goal from Onderick. Moments before the third quarter ended, sophomore Eric Bergin scored the last point of the quarter, bringing the score to 10-4.
A minute into the fourth quarter, Kyle Irwin scored twice and Wildcat number 9 scored. The game ended 12-7 with another big win for the boys.
The boys will take on the Freedom Patriots away, Wednesday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m.
