Yet again, the varsity boys soccer team (2-6) added a loss to their record, this time against the Bishop Moore Hornets (7-1).

Bishop Moore scored the first two goals before halftime. During halftime, coach Bobby Hurring stressed the importance of teamwork and a more offensive outlook on plays.

After halftime, two Bishop Moore players received yellow cards, both against senior Daniel Barr. The first card came when a Bishop Moore player kneed Barr in the back, the second came when another Bishop Moore player kicked the ball after Barr put it in place for a penalty kick.

The Hornets scored two more unanswered goals, resulting in a 0-4 game.

The boys’ next game is on Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. against Wekiva at Wekiva High School.
