On March 1, the boys’ and girls’ track and field team competed with 26 other highs schools at the Lake Brantley Invitational.

In field events, junior Alexandra King placed fourth (90 feet)  in the girls’ discus.  Senior pole vaulters,  Jordan Whitmer took ninth (7’9”) and  Mackenzie Williamson placed 12th (7’).  Junior Anthony Henders placed 11th in the pole vault at (10’).

Junior Luis Rivera placed fourth in the boy’s shot put (44’7”) and sophomore Colby Ritten placed 13th (41’7”).

Senior Christian Strange took third in the discus (151’4”).  Junior Melvin Torres came in ninth (121’4”) with Luis Rivera, right behind him (119’).

In track events senior Alexandria Meneses took sixth place (5:32.15) in the girl’s 1,600.

In the girl’s 400-meter dash, sophomore Jordan Crawford took seventh (59.98), and placed second in her heat.

In the 4×100 meter relay, the girls placed 15th (53.99).  In the 4×400 meter relay the girls placed 14th (4:20.58),  and in the 4×800 meter relay the girls placed eighth (11:03.91).

In the men’s 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, senior Brandon Reddick placed fourth (11.12) and (22.3), respectively.

In the 110-meter hurdles, senior Keatin Best placed sixth (15.96) and in the 300-meter hurdles he placed 16th (43.76).

In the men’s 3,200 meter run, junior Jared Hines placed fourth (10:07.77) and junior Ryan Harding placed 12th (10:37.54).

In the boys placed ninth in the 4×100 meter relay (44.70), 12th in the 4×400 meter relay (3:35.95), and sixth in the 4×800 meter relay (8:36.11).

The next meet will be March 8 at the Lake Highland Invitational beginning at 9:15 a.m.
