goodbye to their seniors since it was their
last game on the Reservation.

On April 22, the flag football team walked on the field to play against their biggest rival.

After winning the coin toss and receiving the ball, Emily Colvin quickly made a touchdown within minutes of the start of the game. Then the girls started to get into the interception madness. Timber Creek intercepted the ball and ran it in for a touchdown twice in the second quarter making the score 7-13.

In the third quarter, the team held Timber Creek at 7-13 and started making their way down field in the fourth quarter. There was nothing short of an amazing catch by junior Megan Gibson as she slid to catch the pass from quarterback Cassandra Ketchum, junior, keeping with Boone possession. Ketchum then turned around and made a touchdown in last few minutes of the fourth quarter making the score 13-13 and putting the game into overtime.

There was a bit of confusion in the stands since the scoreboard was not on for the game, but through various interceptions and fowls, Ketchum was able to run the ball for a touchdown making the final score 20-19 and “W” for the Braves.

After all of the excitement on the field the girls then said their goodbyes to their seniors; Lauren Muse, Rene Fiorelli, Ajah Deloach, and Kendall Byerly as they played their last game on the Reservation. The girls received flowers and a gift as well as a balloons and a sign from  their teammates.
