On Wednesday, Jan. 25, the boys wrestlers defeated the Colonial Grenadiers in their match at Colonial.

After warming up, the boys started off the night on a good note. Sophomore Noel Soto won his match, 17-0, with a pin.

Following in Soto’s momentum, senior Grant Linnemann crushed his opponent, 17-0.

However, junior Jordan Gates faced a challenge. After fighting a tough match, junior Jordan Gates lost, 8-11. Soon after, Ezequel Rivera pinned his opponent for a win.

The next two matches followed similarly. Junior Andrew Nelson pinned his opponent, winning 10-0; and Jason Angel beat his opponent, 5-3.

The JV and varsity boys compete tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 27, in the Flagler Rotary tournament at Flagler Palm Coast High School.
