On Saturday, April 8, The Junior Class Council will host “Enchanted Forest” at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and tickets cost $70 for seniors, $80 for juniors and $90 for guests.
The Enchanted Forest theme consists of centerpieces with moss, floating candles and tall white vases. The prom committee plans to make a magical fantasy world with plants and props forming an arch covered in vines and flowers that serves as the entrance when students arrive.
“Students can expect delicious food, awesome music, dancing, a great senior prom video, enchanted surprises, and just an overall wonderful night to remember,” Junior Class sponsor Jillian Rodriguez said.
Close to the end of the evening, the Senior Class will announce the senior superlatives, like Mr. and Miss BHS. Seniors will vote for these awards on Thursday, March 30.
“You will always remember your high school prom,” Rodriguez said. “[Students that might not be sure if they want to go] are missing out.”
Students must wear formal attire. Bare midriffs and flip flops are not permitted. Those who break the dress-code requirements will not be granted entry, nor will they received a refund for their ticket cost.
Students from other schools are allowed admittance, but they must complete and return the guest portion on the prom obligation form. Dress code and behavior requirements apply to all attendees.
Ticket sales begin March 27 and end March 31. Students must bring their student ID and clear any obligations to purchase a ticket.
Entry requires a student identification that matches the name on the prom ticket and cash for parking and pictures. Self parking costs $8.50 and valet costs $11.
“I didn’t get to go last year,” senior Julianne Cheatham said. “I feel like it’s kind of a right of passage. I’m really looking forward to how they portray the theme and the decorations.”
