On Monday, the Lady Braves flag football team beat the Jones Tigers 13-12.

Although the Lady Braves defense forced several yard losses, the Tigers managed to score. The Lady Braves blocked the extra point but still trailed 0-6.

In the second quarter, sophomore Kaia Barati caught an interception and gained several yards. Sophomore Nicole Youtz then caught the ball for a touchdown, tying the game 6-6. Barati caught the ball for an extra point advancing the team 7-6.

In the third quarter, sophomore Heidi Wicks kept up the streak and scored another touchdown, increasing the lead 13-6. The Lady Braves were unable to secure the extra point.

In the final minutes of the game, the Tigers scored another touchdown after a several yard run. The Lady Braves defense again blocked the extra point, securing their win, 13-12.

The Lady Braves take on Freedom away on Thursday.
