Season 5 premiere of The Rachel Zoe Project aired March 6 on Bravo. The almost cancelled series featured Rachel Zoe Rosenzweig on her first runway show at Mercedes Bendz’s fahion week, fashion’s biggest week of the year.
As a newly made mom, one sees the struggle of Rosenzweig goes through by balancing being a mom, designer and stylist, her first love.
It was different seeing a designer being featured in Mercedes Bendz’ Fashion Week go to other designer’s shows on her breaks, such as Marchesa searching for clothes for her styling clients.
Rosenzweig has a kind and caring personality. She demonstrated this is going to her dear friend’s runway show on the morning of her biggest day. When others would be preparing and fine tuning their collection she went to support fashion icon Michael Kors.
Rosenzweig described her spring collection as modern, cold, effortless, less girly and more glamorous. Suspense raised when Rosenzweig kept making huge changes up to five minutes before her show began.
The season premiere lacked a jaw dropping climax moment the pulse of any reality show. The closest thing to that moment was Rosenzweig’s revelation of an unflattering article about her collection published in the New York Post.
With much the responsibility of her line being divided with her vice president and husband, much of her job did not require any drama and everything ran boringly smoothly.
Anyone expecting excitement will be disappointed, but fashion lovers will enjoy the behind the scenes look the show provides. Rachel Zoe’s effortless talent is intriguing as her show lacks luster.
The next episode of the Rachel Zoe Project airs March 13, at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
