To celebrate the life of guidance counselor Rosa Pearson, the school sponsored a memorial program at Delaney Street Baptist Church April 17, at 4 p.m.
With the chapel full with hundreds of attendees, friends, colleagues, parents and students spoke about how Pearson touched their lives and of her never-ending smile.
Her husband, Joshua Pearson, thanked everyone for their kind words and for loving his wife, whom he said he already misses because they “had a good thing going.”
The PTSA hosted a reception in Fellowship Hall immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rosa Pearson Scholarship Fund or to the Kemosabe Kloset at Boone High School. The mailing address is 2000 S. Mills Avenue, Orlando 32806.
