Last night, the Lady Braves softball team played the Olympia Titans today at 7 p.m. at home. To begin the game, social studies teacher Ian Gold threw the first pitch.
Senior Ciara McCoy was on fire tonight. She started the game with the first out and first hit of the night. Then with a grounder to center field, freshman Lara Dusing started the bottom of the second inning stealing second base.
Ending the top of the third inning, McCoy caught a pop fly to center field.
For the first out of the fourth inning, pitcher junior Meghan Mansfield struck out a Titan. Then when a pop fly flew over shortstop Meghan Sexton she caught it, making it the second out of the fourth inning.
The Lady Braves scored their first run at the bottom of the fourth inning. Also during the fourth inning, Ashley Vega scored the second run, making the score 2-0.
At the top of the fifth inning, Chase Cassidy entered the game as pitcher.
At the bottom of the fifth inning, McCoy advanced to second base and scored the third run, making the score 3-0.
Cassidy struck out the first and third hitter of the top of the seventh inning, ending the game 3-0.
