Pizza and Italian Ice from Tony's Snack Alley.

By CALEY BROCK

A selection of Italian ice and ice cream greet costumers walking through the back door of Tony’s Snack Alley.  Offering quick and inexpensive ice cream and homemade pizza, this neighborhood eatery is the perfect place for students to grab a bite to eat.

Although the atmosphere is plain and casual, the 11 a.m. -9 p.m. store hours and location in the building behind the Blankner baseball field are convenient for Boone students.  Free Wi-Fi is also available.

Satisfying homemade cheese ($1.50) and pepperoni ($2) pizza is sold by the slice.  The crust is warm and fluffy, and slices are heated to your order.  Other warm menu items include hot dogs, stromboli and waffles.

Cold options include refreshing ice cream ($2) such as cookies and cream and black cherry and Italian ice ($1) such as mango.

Recently opened, Tony’s is still gaining customers, but with its friendly service and good prices its business should soon increase.

A great time to try out Tony’s is this Friday, Oct. 1, from 2 p.m. -4 p.m. when they are handing out free ice cream to visitors.
