“Where are the chips and salsa?” math teacher Robin Bradford asked as she walked in the first salsa meeting.

After a laugh from the six other staff members, the group began their first of seven salsa lessons in the junior/senior cafeteria.

“[I decided to do this] as a stress reliever and a way to bond with our faculty and staff,” Carlotta Mendoza-Iglesias said.  “Also to increase the relationship with the faculty and to teach the staff about Hispanic culture.”

To reach this goal, Mendoza-Iglesias started the lesson by introducing the staff to one another and distributing information on the history of salsa.

The next lesson is Nov. 30, 2010, and all faculty are encouraged to attend.
