In their usual spirit of helping others, Haven members plan to participate in Operation Christmas Child and Reindeer Romp.

On Nov. 15, in Portable 10 members will be wrapping boxes filled with presents for underprivileged children for Operation Christmas Child.

Then on Nov. 17, the Haven will be doing a Reindeer Romp at the Festival of Trees at the Orlando Museum of Art as an interactive holiday day care for children at the event.

“The Haven’s mission is to help volunteer locally and our next projects are centered around aiding those in our community specifically during the holiday season,” Porter said.

To participate in these projects contact the club presidents or go to the gift box wrapping meeting in Portable 10 on Nov. 17.

At the meeting this past week, senior presidents Catherine Porter and Emily Oswald revealed the club shirts: hunter green shirts with a tree and branches spelling the Haven on the back.  Anthony Ray designed the shirts.

“They turned out really nicely.  It was exciting to have the design done by one of the club members; it made it more meaningful,” Porter said.
