For the passed two years the school has held a 5K run to help raise money for the teams, clubs and athletic facilities on campus. On Feb. 19, Boone High School Athletic Association will host the 3rd annual Reservation Run.

The trace begins on the track,  goes around the entire campus, then ends back on the track.  It is sponsored by the BHSAA and Downtown South.

To raise money for campus, sports and clubs, members of the organization have to participate in the event. That doesn’t mean one has to run but one must attend.

There is a $15 fee for students and $20 for a adults. Cash or checks should be made payable to BHSAA or dropped off at the Trading Post. Fifty percent of every dollar will go to the clubs or sports teams that participate and the remaining money will be put towards Boone facilities.

“I look forward to the Reservation Run  because it gives a chance to help raise money for my cross country team and it is also fun to be able to run with my friends without the pressure of having to win,” junior Preston Taylor said.
