Located off of Edgewater Drive, Infusion Tea is the perfect place to sit and study while enjoying a cup of tea with a small bite. It is a small, cozy and casual setting that exudes a welcoming environment.
Infusion Tea is a fusion of a small cafe and gift shop. Although orders are placed at the register, one is still served by a waiter. The cafe offers all varieties of food, all at an appropriate size to be accompanied by tea, tea lattes, coffee and other specialty drinks including a Creme Brulee Latte($3.50) and Coconut Creme Latte($3.50).
Flatbread and 3-dips ($7.25) accompanied by a Chai Tee Latte ($3.75) is a good combination. This dish includes a generous serving of flatbread along with a mixture of sweet, salty and spicy salsas, including the mango salsa, tabouleh (mix of vegetables, olive oil and spices) and hummus. The Grilled Cheese Sandwich ($6.75), includes cheddar and harvati cheese pressed into ciabatta bread and is a good companion to the Eggnog Latte which is appropriate for the winter season.
Although a Mushroom Quesadilla ($$6.75) does not seem a typical dish to side with tea, the mushroom’s rich flavor topped with cheddar jack cheese compliments any type of tea perfectly.
The cafe offers a wide range of tea flavors, including Black Tea, Oolong Tea, Green Tea, White Tea, Red Tea and Herbal Tea. These teas are also available in a gallon to take home, the gallon serves six and includes cups. Infusion Tea is known for the weekly farmer’s markets hosted at the location. The dates for these events can been seen on www.infusionorlando.com, but upcoming dates include Dec. 22 and Dec. 29, they also hold special events such as poetry nights and seasonal parties.. The gift shop incorporated in the restaurant has a variety of handmade products. These products range from handbags, iPad cases, clothes, jewelry, picture frames, home ornaments and hair accessories. Although these items are on the expensive side, they are unique and worth their price.
Infusion Tea is the ideal place to grab a quick, healthy bite or now that midterms are coming up, a place to study. With a calm and free-spirited atmosphere, the cafe is the place to grab an escape from reality.
