The smell is the first thing one senses when stepping into downtown’s famous Little Saigon restaurant.  The aroma is unlike any other, and while it may make some want to turn around and drive to the nearest burger joint, others will take comfort in the fact that the odor signifies they are about to eat a traditional Vietnamese dinner.

Little Saigon’s menu is endless.  The brevity of there selection makes it easy for anyone to find a dinner option.  Don’t be fooled by the unappetizing photos of dinner entrees throughout the menu.  Stick to the menu’s descriptions rather than the pictures.

For appetizers and drinks, there are several options.  However, Little Saigon’s summer rolls ($2.50) are the best choice if searching for delicious, yet traditional Vietnamese.  The two rolls are served with a sweet peanut sauce for dipping.  Diners should choose Jasmine Tea ($0.95) to drink as it complements the food perfectly.

To choose an entrée, one must decide between rice or noodle plates.  Then, diners should pick a meat and whether they want a spicy, mild or sweet sauces.  One recommended option is Com Tao Xao Ot ($6.95), which includes chicken, peppers onions all over rice.  This dish can be made spicy.

Little Saigon has absolutely delicious food and inexpensive prices.  With a large menu, anyone can find his or her perfect dinner.
