Diddy brags about how The Last Train to Paris by Diddy  Dirty Money is “a sound, a movement” when in all honestly it just left me curious and confused.
This electro hip-hop soul funk album was released by Bad Boy records on Dec. 13. The album features 16 guest artists including Grace Jones and Usher.
Diddy makes a better producer than an artist. He has recruited some of the biggest hip-hop producers in the music industry, including The-Dream, Tricky, the Neptunes, Mario Winans, T-Pain and Rodney Jerkins. Unfortunately his voice is flat and lacks a “swag” compared to artist like Kanye West and T.I. When I’m listening to the album I feel he is just reading the lyrics off a piece of paper. There is no flow in his voice, leaving it sounding awkward.
In April 2009 Dawn Richards formerly in Danity Kane and singer songwriter Kaleena Harper added the Dirty Money to Diddy’s name. The girls voices are average but aren’t impressive enough to make up for Diddy’s horrendous rapping like the opening verse in, “Loving you no more”, “ I just I cant I just can’t be loving you no more, I love you more than I love myself, Loving you no more, I just I cant I just can’t be loving you no more, I love you more than I love myself”. He isn’t even able to rap long enough to get a flow.
Not only does Diddy lack flow but the lyrics are vulgar. In songs like “A** on the Floor” and “Angel” Diddy seems to use offensive word choice to make up for the actual sound of his music.
In the song “Love No More” the piano chimes in the back round give a nice sound but does not sound coherent with the rest of the song.
Another song, “Someone to Love Me” it begins weak then Diddy comes in with his rap and once again he just doesn’t collaberate with the rest of song.
I wouldn’t recommend this album. It is not worth the money or the time. It is not appealing musically or appealing at all.
