After traveling to Ormond Beach for the quarterfinal regional game, the flag football team beat Seabreeze, 33-14.

During the first quarter, seniors Kyndal Skersick and Brandi Recker scored touchdowns and ended the quarter 14-0.

Junior defensive player Bailey Florin’s interception at the beginning of the second quarter continued to keep Seabreeze from scoring. Skersick had an interception and threw a backwards pass to Florin. Recker had another touchdown with five minutes left in the quarter, 26-0.

In the middle of the third quarter, Seabreeze made their first touchdown, then an interception on the following play, and immediately after scored another touchdown, leaving questions about a comeback.

With help from freshman Cassandra Ketchum and senior Elizabeth McEwan, Florin threw a pass to Skersick, who scores a touchdown and ends the game.

Tonight at 6, the girls will play Mandarin on the Norton Baker Field.
