Before heavy rain cancelled the swim meet, both teams dominated the Edgewater Eagles at Wadeview Pool on Oct. 4.

Junior Amelia Cheatham placed first in the 200 individual medley followed by sophomore Gillian Gijion placing second, and junior Dakota Lewis placing first in the 200 freestyle.

The boys’ team won the 200 medley with swims from  junior Zane Grant, junior Israel Miller, senior William Stone and senior Cooper Brock.

In the individual categories the boys’ won the 200 freestyle, the 200 individual medley and the 100 fly.  Junior Joshua Rosenfeld, senior Brendan Ellixson and junior Isreal Miller swam the winning individual swims respectively.

The girls had a lead of 43-19, and the boys were ahead 58-36, before officials cancelled the meet.  Since they were ahead before the 500 it counts as a win for the boys and girls records.

The team will swim again in the metro meet at Winter Park.
