Friday night on Dec. 7, the girls basketball team played against Pine Ridge in the Wayne Rickman Gymnasium. The Braves defeated Pine Ridge, 62-2.

The first quarter ended with a score of 21-0. Junior Kendall Byerly contributed to the lead by making her first three-pointer in the game and freshman Sadie Desroches made a layup.

Pine Ridge had their first shot in the second quarter making the score at half time, 36-2. Byerly also made her second three-pointer before half time.

In the third quarter, Byerly and freshman Madison Gonzalez each made a three-point shot.

Ending the game with an assist, freshman Emily Colvin threw the ball down court to senior Bailey Florin who made a layup.

Leading scorers in the game were Byerly with 14 points and junior Miranda Miller with 9 points. Miller also had four rebounds.

With the win, the team now has a 8-2 record. The team’s next game is at Cypress Creek on Dec. 11, at 7:30 p.m.
