Never taking the lead, the freshman boys basketball team struggled to gain the advantage over the Lake Brantley Patriots, resulting in a defeat.

With Lake Brantley leading from the start, they ended the first quarter  3-9.  In the second quarter, Boone scored an additional eight points, making the score 11-20.

In the first half of the third quarter, both teams added to their scores.  Two-point shots by freshmen Derek Diel and Tyler Colson quickly brought the score up to 15-22, but the home team was unable to maintain this momentum; Lake Brantley scored an additional four points, making the score 15-26.  The third quarter ended 17-28.

The team was unable to rally for a victory, ending the game 24-42.

The team will return to the court on Dec. 14 to take on the Evans Trojans.
