Holding a 1-1 record at the start of their third season game on Feb. 22 ,the girls’ lacrosse team beat Freedom high school 18-7.

The team successfully ran their Duke and Motion One plays in the first half. With  senior Brennah Mehan off of junior Kiernan Mehan’s assist, the girls lead 7-0, 10 minutes into the game. Freedom scored two points before the end of the first half, making the score 10-2 at halftime.

With five minutes left in the second half, the girls lead 17-5. Junior Katharyn Lindborg, number 17, scored the 17th goal.

Freedom scored two goals afterward, but the girls had the last goal of the night making the final score 18-7.

The next girls’ lacrosse game is at home on Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. against West Orange.
