At a home game on Feb. 26, the girls lacrosse team beat West Orange High School, 17-14.

Within a minute after the game began, freshman Kaityln Driskell made the first goal of the night.  Afterwards, senior Brennah Mehan scored the next four goals for the team.  Soon after,  junior Kiernan Mehan shot the ball past the goalie for the fifth point.  By the end of the first half, the Lady Braves were in the lead, 9-3.

In the beginning of the final half, the Warriors were catching up, but with a goal by sophomore Dora Muratovic, the Braves maintained their steady lead.  Muratovic, B. Mehan and junior Kaitlyn Wendling each scored two more goals for the team.  K. Mehan also added another point to the game.

The game kept the audience on their toes, waiting to see who would score next and what team would come out on top.

In the end, the girls lacrosse team defeated the West Orange Warriors in a close end score of 17-14.

The next game is at home on Thursday at 6 p.m. against East River High School.
