With the boys’ volleyball team in their defensive positions, they waited for the service.  Before Timber Creek could serve the ball, head coach Nathan Kyle called a time to adjust the rotation, costing the team a time out.

In the first set, freshmen Jon Bartelt and Blake Garrison, junior Allen Jenkins and senior Samuel Wilmeth contributed to the game with a kill, tip and block, respectively.  With a long rally and an ace serve, the game became a two-point game, but the boys fell short, ending the set 28-30.

Senior Robert Irwin served two aces to begin the second set, putting the boys ahead, but fell short with mistakes, like two handed sets and spiked balls into the net.  Irwin and sophomore Joel Camy put points on the board with ace serves and kills, respectively.  Though Timber Creek had many service errors, the Braves fell short with the final score of 19-25.

With two kills from Irwin in the beginning the third set, the boys led the game for another two points until a service error occurred. With a series of errors for Timber Creek ranging from being out of rotation to short serves into the net, the team fought to stay in the game with a kill from Camy.  The final score was 12-25 for the final set.

The boys next game is at Winter Park on April 18.  They take on the Wildcats at 7 p.m.
