After a strong 3-0 season start, the girls volleyball team continues their undefeated season (4-0) beating Dr. Phillips, 3-1.

The girls lost the first set 17-25 despite an early lead of multiple points and were never able to build momentum in the first set after falling behind. In the second set, the girls created an early 11-6 lead and maintained it to close the set 25-22. They fell behind in the third, but were able to turn a 10-13 deficit into a 20-15 lead. Dr. Phillips did not give up. They fought back against Boone, but the Braves closed the third set 25-22. Boone won the fourth and final set 25-17 despite difficulty closing out the match.

Junior Oakley Attaway had an outstanding performance with 15 kills and four aces all in a row. Senior Taylor Kasper had 15 digs and two aces, and junior Neysha Gonzalez helped with 13 digs.

A large and rowdy student section cheered on the team to help lead them to victory.

The girls volleyball team will play Bishop Moore (4-1) on Sept. 18 at home starting at 7 p.m.
