Against Bishop Moore, the girls volleyball team lost in three sets at home 14-25, 19-25, 21-25.

The girls struggled from the beginning in the first set never being able to take a lead. In the second set, the team kept the score close at 10-13 but eventually let it slip away.

After initially being down in the third, they came back 21-22. Bishop Moore focused in and closed the match with thee consecutive points. The Lady Braves had trouble with recovering from being out of position and simple mistakes according to coach Mike Ladewski.

Junior Oakley Attaway excelled with 18 kills (equivalent to one third of the team’s totals points)  and 18 digs for the team. Senior Jenna Layton had 10 kills, and freshman Nicole Lakman made 28 assists.

The Braves will play Cypress Creek at home on Sept. 24 starting at 7 p.m.
