Wednesday evening, the boys golf team beat rival Edgewater and Winter Park 331 to 341 to 383 at North Shore Golf Course.

Led by senior Kiah Nickerson who shot a 77, the lowest score of all players, and junior Joshua Maldonado who shot an 88, the team was able to come up with the win.

Nickerson birdied five holes, including two in a row. Sophomore Conor Eakins birdied three times in the match and finished with a score of 95.

The team missed several four to six foot putts.

The team was able to keep par on almost all of the holes that were par fives. Every player pared or birdied hole 7, which was a par-5.

Nickerson’s 77 is the lowest score a player has had at North Shore this year.

Junior Matthew Mills pared six holes in the match and ended with a score in the mid 90’s.

Sophomore Christopher Johnson was able to score a 98 after parring four holes and birdieing two more.

The team’s next match is districts on Oct. 14 at Eagle Creek.
