On Jan. 10, in the Wayne Rickman Gymnasium, the boys basketball defeated Cypress Creek, and got their 1000 win for the team

The first quarter started with a lead; junior Jeremy Bouton made a layup followed by a 3-pointer from senior Barry Taylor.  The quarter ended 24-0.  In the second quarter the Braves score 19 points and maintain their lead.  Bouton made a basket and Taylor made all five of his free throws.  At the buzzer Taylor made a 3-pointer ending the half 43-10.

In the third quarter junior Jose Melendez made a three and a two pointer.  At the end of the third quarter the score was 54-21.  Bouton was fouled and made both of his free throws.

The start of the fourth quarter sophomore Tyler Colson made a basket followed by a basket by junior Cole Butler.  Colson made his second basket of the night and brought the score to 60-28.

The Braves kept their lead throughout the game defeating the Bears, 60-30.  The boys will play Lake Highland at 7:05 p.m., Jan. 11, at Orlando Christian Prep.
