On Feb. 18, the Lady Braves lacrosse team defeated Celebration in a their first match of the season.

Within minutes of the game beginning, senior Kiernan Mehan scored the first goal of the game, followed closely by junior Dora Muratovic scoring a goal.  Mehan made two more goals during the first half and freshman Emily Darr also made two goals throughout the first half.  At the halftime mark, the Lady Braves were in the lead 6-3.

The second half began on a good note with Muratovic and Mehan scoring the first two goals, respectively.  Mehan then made a goal with assistance from Muratovic, and then she made another with an assist from senior Chase Granger.  Darr scored a goal this half as well, and Mehan made the remaining two goals for the night.

The Lady Braves kept their lead throughout the game and won, 13-9.  They play next tonight, Feb. 19, away at 7:30 against Lake Nona.
