At a neck and neck match on Saturday, April 5, the boys varsity lacrosse team took down Dr. Phillips High School.

Midfield Kevin Irwin, senior, made the team’s first goal of the afternoon.  The first quarter ended with the Braves just behind the Panthers 2-3.  Senior Brad Connelly tied the game during the second quarter and the Braves led 4-3 at half time.

Midfield Kyle Irwin, senior, made three goals during the third quarter along with sophomore Lucas Spear making one goal,  ending the third quarter with the score tied at 8.

The fourth quarter was nail biting with back and forth goals between the teams.  Connelly, Hank McClane, Kyle Irwin and Kevin Irwin goals put the boys ahead 12-11 but a score by DP brought yet another tie. With less than 30 seconds on the clock Kevin Irwin ignited the crowd making a clean goal and bringing home another victory.
