Wednesday night, the Lady Braves swim team took on the Edgewater High School Eagles at Wadeview Pool.

The Lady Braves started strong in the 200-medley relay. Sophomore Victoria Pratt, senior Camden Parrish, freshman Victoria Campanalie and senior Erika Gutierrez led the team. They came in first with a 2:05:07 compared to Edgewater’s time of 2:34:3.

Halfway through the meet, senior Gillian Jijon came in first in the 100 freestyle, 1:09:27. Juniors Myranda Welch and Edyth Heins were behind placing second and fourth.

The Lady Braves ended the meet with a 400-free relay (Pratt, Gutierrez, freshman Ellie McDonald and sophomore Cardinal Hastings) in lane 3. Their time was 4:13:74, winning them first place.

The meet ended with the Lady Braves defeating the Edgewater Eagles 128-43.

The varsity girls will have their next meet against Timber Creek on Sept. 24, at 6 p.m. at Wadeview Pool.
