In a double-header against Edgewater and Winter Park, the boys golf team lost against Winter Park, but beat Edgewater.

Freshman Nicholas Bessire led the Braves shooting three under par with 69. Sophomore Connor Eakins followed suit shooting a 79, and senior Joshua Maldonado shoot an 86.

Junior Nicholas Duffy, with 91, closed out the team bringing the boys’ score to a 325. Senior Mathew Mills contributed 93, and freshman Mason Toben scored 104.

The team’s score was just one away from Winter Park’s 324. Edgewater placed third with 333. Players scoring bogeys and the course’s fast surface, which gave players trouble putting, caused problems for the team.

The team is now 5-2, and will play again Sept. 18 against Timber Creek at Stoneybrook East.
