After losing Wednesday to of the main competitors in the East Metro district, Winter Park, the Braves beat the other main competitor, Timber Creek.

Freshman Nicholas Bessire, who has consistently led the team all season, helped lead them again. He shot three under par with 34, and also shot under par the previous day in a double-header against Edgewater and Winter Park.

Following Bessire’s score was senior Mathew Mills with 37, sophmore Connor Eakins a 38 and junior Chris Johnson with 42 bringing the team to a total of 151 against Timber Creek’s 160.

The team stayed consistent as a whole, and Mathew Mills rebounded from his lackluster performance yesterday of 21 over par to just 1 over today. Their loss to Winter Park by just one stroke and victory over Timber Creek by nine shows they are well positioned to succeed in the East Metro tournament on Oct. 8.

The team will continue their 6-2 season against Olympia next Tuesday.
