Lady Braves volleyball team took on the University High School Cougars in the District Semifinals Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the Wayne Rickman Gymnasium.

The first set started with junior Nicole Lakman making an ace. The girls took off and beat University by a landslide, junior Sydney Ritten ended the game with a kill making the final score 25-7. Ritten scored 36 points throughout the games.

In the second set it was neck and neck for most of the game.  Ritten scored another game winning kill bringing the score to 25-21. The girls were determined and ready to win.

Senior Marissa Hackett started the third set with three aces in a row making the score 4-1. Hackett scored a total of 46 points throughout the three sets. Freshman Lillian Baker scored five aces throughout the games. The girls took off once again and won 25-17. The Lady Braves ended the match 3-0.

Come out and support the Lady Braves in the district finals against Timber Creek tonight at 7 in the Wayne Rickman Gymnasium.
