On Friday, Jan. 13, the cheer team competed in the Metro East Cheer Competition at West Orange High School.

The girls performed first in the small non-tumbling category at 6:45 p.m. They competed against nine other schools in the east division including East River and Colonial.

The routine consisted of an energetic entrance and audience interaction. With only one stunt falling, the Lady Braves ended with a pyramid.

Of the 10 teams competing, Winter Park beat the Lady Braves by 7.35 points and University took third place.

The team will compete in the regional competition at Spruce Creek High School at 9:34 p.m. on Jan. 20.
