Braves defeated the Cypress Creek Bears yesterday in what turned out to be a landslide of a victory.

The team started off on a bad note, as the Bears were quick to secure a run in the first inning. The Braves retaliated with a spectacular home run  by Christian Martinez in the second inning, along with a single run from Blake Sanderson in the third inning.

The fourth inning was a stalemate, but a quick one, as pitcher Cooper Jeffers decimated the Cypress Creek batters.

The Braves’ pitchers kept the Bears down in the fifth inning, and were quickly back at bat. The  batters held nothing back, and by the end of the fifth inning, they made six runs on the Bears.

By the sixth inning, the team was eager to end the game. Again, the Braves’ pitchers made quick work of the team that was turning into the Bad News Bears. The game ended 8-1.

The Braves’ next game is at Cypress Creek on March 14, at 4 p.m.
