In their season opener on March 5, the boys volleyball team lost to Timber Creek (2-0) in the three sets.  The boys lost a portion of their points due to technical errors.

The match started with senior Kerry Alce singing the National Anthem without a microphone, due to technical difficulties.  After a kill from junior Jon Bartelt, the team was down 9-15 in the first set of the match.  They remained behind for the remainder of the set, losing 12-25.

The second set started close after a block by sophomore Danny Hermida and Bartelt making the score 7-6.   The Braves fell behind the Wolves 14-16 soon after, despite a dig from junior libero Nicholas Duffy. The team failed to score any additional points for the second set losing to Timber Creek 14-25.

The third set of the match, again, began close.  Junior Blake Garrison made an incredible save early in the set tying the game 5-5.  However, the Braves fell behind, despite another kill from Bartelt bringing the score to 17 -21.  The team lost the third set and thus the entire match with a  20-25 score in the third game.

The boys volleyball team will travel to Lake Nona on March 10 to play the Lions at 7 p.m.
