On Kiss the Pig night ,Oct. 4, the Braves went head-to-head with the Dr. Phillips Panthers (6-0).

In the start of the first quarter, both the Braves and Panthers fumbled the ball.  Junior Tommy Townsend recovered the fumble, helping the Braves. At the four minute mark the Panthers scored the first touchdown and field goal, making the score 0-7.

The second quarter brought hope to the Braves when senior quarterback Calvin Smith received the handoff from Jaquarios Bargnare and scored the first touch down. Senior Austin Jones then made the first field goal. The Braves fought, but the Panthers used more force and by the end of the quarter the score was 7-21.Coming into the third quarter Jones made a field goal putting the Braves at 10-21.

The Panthers scored the final 28 points of the game in the fourth quarter.  The end score was 10-49.

The Braves head into the bye week. Their next game is be against the Freedom High Patriots (2-3) Friday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m.
