Yesterday afternoon the boys golf team make a hard stretch to win beat Lake Nona by two points leaving the score 160-162.

Freshman Nicholas Bessire led the team with a 34, two under par. He has been a constant help to this team all season long. He was at par through three holes during the game.

Sophomore Connor Eakins kept the team’s score steady with him being one under through four holes, ending with a 40. During the game Eakins lost his ball on the sixth hole, but he found the ball.

Although this was a tough game, the boys decided they weren’t going to lose, so they stayed on top with their scores. Junior Christopher Johnson and junior Nicholas Duffy tied, having each shot a 43, to help the team’s score. Johnson had one over par throughout three holes and Duffy made par on hole four and shot a bogey on hole six. Their combined focus and determination allowed them to beat the Lions.

The team will continue their season on Monday at North Shore Golf Course at the Metro Conference Championships
