On March 12, 14 track teams gathered at Showalter Field for the 2016 Brian Jaeger Elite Classic.

Senior Colby Ritten dominated his field events, shot-put and discus, placing first in both. Ritten punched the shot-put 41’1.5″ and threw the discus 127’3″.

In the boys long jump, junior Brent Sturno jumped 20’4″, a personal best, placing sixth. In the triple jump, sophomore Xavier Urrutia placed fifth with a distance of 42’10”. In pole vault, sophomore Brent McFadden placed ninth, with 8’6″.

On the track,  the boys placed fifth in the 4×800-meter relay, and fifth in the varsity 4×100 meter relay.

Roy Hoewischer, senior,  placed first in the 100-meter dash, 10.95 seconds, and placed third in the 200 meter dash, 22.66 seconds.

In the  300-meter hurdles, junior Jogimio Faustin placed ninth at 45.19 seconds.

In the 800-meter run, junior Jose Vasquez-Dickson placed eighth, 2:03.86.

Junior Spenser Blake placed third in the 3200-meter run at 10:33.18.

In the 4×400-meter Freshman-Sophomore Relay, the boys placed seventh with a 4:14.41.
