On Monday, March 14, the flag football team (3-0) slayed the Olympia Titans.

The first quarter began with a successful start as seniors Monica Almirall and Emily Colvin both made major interceptions, which started the triumphant demeanor of the game. Shortly after, sophomore Cassady Quintana assisted Colvin in a touchdown and senior Kristin Recker scored the extra point, advancing the girls, 7-0.

In the second quarter, senior Amanda Oliver intercepted the ball and Recker scored a touchdown. Senior Sharik Atkinson then scored the extra point, making the score 14-0.

The girls’ interceptions prevented the Titans from scoring in the first half of the game. Senior Sorymer Lopez made one of the interceptions, which then let Oliver score a touchdown. Following the touchdown, junior Emily Matthews scored the extra point, advancing the girls, 21-0.

At the end of the second quarter, Colvin made a 30-yard pass to Quintana, scoring yet another touchdown, making the score 28-0.

The third quarter had a rough start as the Lady Braves made defensive errors and several attempts to score but failed. The Titans scored their first touchdown because of this, making the score 28-6.

In the final quarter, Quintana made a 20-yard pass to senior Sarah Lottman scoring the final touchdown of the game, 34-6.

The Lady Braves play the Lady Wolves tomorrow night at Timber Creek at 7.
