On Tuesday, April 19, the Lady Braves flag football team celebrated senior night and at the game against the Ocoee Knights.

As the game began, with a pass from senior Emily Colvin, senior Amanda Oliver made the first touchdown of the game, 6-0. With their early lead, senior Katlyn Nicholson added on, scoring an extra point, 7-0. After a 35-yard pass from Colvin, sophomore Cassady Quintana made a touchdown, bringing the score to 13-0. With that touchdown, the first quarter came to a close.

In the second quarter, after Colvin intercepted the Knight’s pass, Oliver scored her second touchdown of the game, making the score 19-0. At halftime, the Lady Braves led the game, 19-0.

In the third quarter, Nicholson scored a touchdown for the Lady Braves, increasing the score to 25-0. With Nicholson scoring the only touchdown in the third quarter, the fourth quarter began. Senior Kristin Recker scored the first touchdown of the fourth quarter and Nicholson scored an extra point, 31-0. The Knights were unable to score in the game, allowing the Lady Braves to claim their victory, 31-0. The flag football team added to their winning streak, 9-0.

The team travels to Freedom to play the Patriots on Thursday, April 21 at 7 p.m.
