On Sept.17, the girls cross country team competed at the Hagerty Invitational in Oviedo. There they faced schools such as University, Winter Park and Lake Nona High School.

The girls finished 11th overall out of 20 schools, with an average time of 23:34.28, leading Colonial by 17 seconds.

Senior Jessica Dolan led the team, placing 30th (21:43.60) out of 163 girls running. Kiara Zambrana followed, placing 58th (23:07.30) and behind her sophomore Hannah Schneeberger placed 78th (24:08.50).

Senior Kelli Kurtz followed behind Schneeberger, finishing in 83th place (24:24.50) and senior Raenna Pabon placed 86th (24:27.50).

The girls will race again at the West Orange Invitational in two weeks, Oct. 1, after a bye weekend on Sept. 24.
