Homemade bath accessories like sugar scrubs or bath bombs are the perfect gift for a friend, co-worker or family member. Varying from lemon to mint they can be used as presents for the holidays or a simple surprise. In under 15 minutes, these easy gifts spice up any holiday gift basket.

Lemon Sugar Scrub

 Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 lemon or 1 tablespoon essential of lemon oil
  • container or mold of choice
  • ribbon (optional)
  • soap coloring (optional)
  • labels (optional)
  • Directions:
  1. Pour 2 1/2 cups of granulated sugar and 1/4 cup melted coconut oil into bowl and mix thoroughly.
  2. Add 1 lemon or 1 tablespoon of essential lemon oil to the mixture and stir.
  3. Scoop the lemon sugar scrub into a decorated container.

Optional steps

  1. Add soap color of choice and stir before placing into container.
  2. Hot glue ribbon around top of container.
  3. Write and place label on container.

The sugar scrubs off dead skin leaving it healthier and clean. In shower scoop a handful of scrub and rub all over body. Warning- do before shaving otherwise chances of irritation of hair follicles is common.

Bath Bomb

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of baking soda
  • 1/4 cup of citric acid
  • 1 tablespoon of scented essential oil
  • spray bottle filled with water
  • ice cube try or mold of choice
  • soap coloring (optional)
  1. Mix 1/2 cup of baking soda, 1/4 cup citric acid and one tablespoon of essential oil into bowl.
  2. Spray water into bowl while mixing with hands until it begins to clump.
  3. Press into mold and leave to dry for 24 hours (to speed up process freeze over night)

Optional step

  1. While mixing the ingredients together drop soap coloring in before pressing into mold.

Bath bombs react to water and fizzle away leaving the water and skin soft.
