At Spruce Creek High School on Friday, Jan. 20, the cheer team competed in the FHSAA regional competition.

The Lady Braves performed about 40 minutes late at 10:10 p.m. They competed against 11 other schools including Wekiva and Oak Ridge.

After a slightly rocky performance with two falls, the girls felt relieved when they placed first in their division. Their final score was 75.5 points.

Since the team placed first, they will move straight to finals at the state competition.

The FHSAA state competition will be at the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center on Jan. 28 and 29.
