The Lady Braves (19-8) defeated the Oak Ridge Pioneers (7-13) on the Reservation on Tuesday, Jan. 25.

The Braves started slow in the first quarter as plays turned into turnovers. In the middle of the first quarter Lake Nona made the first two point basket. Juniors Cassady Quintana and Allana Crawford made free throws to add points to the board. Quintana made two baskets, 7-5.

Senior Angeni Worley shot the first two point basket of the second quarter, 13-9. Freshman Madeline Morales and sophomore Tatyana Dixon make baskets, 20-11. A minute before halftime the Pioneers made a basket with junior Brittney Smith quickly making the last basket of the quarter, 26-14.

Quintana made the first three point basket at the third quarter, and immediately added a layup for two more points, 31-14. Smith made a two point basket and layup, ending the quarter, 37-20.

The last quarter started with a basket from Crawford, 39-20. Smith made a two point basket and sophomore Julianna Fowler added a basket too, 47-21. Fowler made the last layup a minute before the buzzer. The game ended in a win, 51-23.

Come out and support your Lady Braves against Osceola on Jan. 26, on the Reservation at 6:30 p.m for senior night!
