On March 3, 18 schools competed at Jeff Wentworth relays at The First Academy where the Lady Braves track team ranked third overall.

The relays started with girls long jump. Senior Jewell Gentry-Mickelson and junior Destiny Caraballo in the girls long jump placing second (5.00m) and third (4.74m), respectively.

In discus throw, junior Jae Crawford and senior Viktoria Pringle took first (36.67m) and second place (33.80). Sophomore Kristen Strange followed in fourth place (30.86m).

Keeping up the energy, the girls placed second overall for the 800 sprint medley (1:59.50), fifth for the 4×200 meter relay (1:52.83), and second for the distance medley (13:55.95).

For the mile run relay, freshman Esa Petersen finished with a 6:15.41, senior Kelli Kurtz finished in 6:21.93, and sophomore Xaira Camacho finished at 6:42.76.

In the final event, 4×400 meter relay, the girls placed ninth (5:02.45).

The team girls track team will compete in the Brian Jaeger Elite at Showalter Field March 11, beginning at 8 a.m.
