The girls bowling team took on Winter Park High School at Colonial Lanes on Tuesday.
To start, junior Ashley Reid bowled with a 237, followed by freshman Lacey Reid with a 151 and freshman Haylie Quintrell with a 125.
Also competing in the first match, senior Leanne Moxley bowled a 154 and freshman Brianna West bowled an 85. This brought the team’s pin total to 752, while Winter Park had 64 pins.
The girls went into their second match 78 points ahead of their opponent. A. Reid bowled a 145, L. Reid with a 188 and Quintrell with a 142. Next, Moxley bowled a 109 and West bowled a 125.
The second match brought the pin total to 1461 and Winter Park had 1435, putting the Braves only 26 pins in the lead.
Lastly, A. Reid bowled a 144, L. Reid with a 180, Quintrell with a 130, followed by Moxley with a 94 and West with a 113. The girls bowled 181 pins less than their opponent in this match which brought the pin total to 2122-2277, leaving Boone 155 pins short of winning.
The next bowling match is Thursday, Oct. 5, at Colonial Lanes against Circle Christian at 3 p.m.
